Euthanasia by injection is considered the most humane form of ending an animal's life. Marin Humane offers this virtual or in-person workshop on October 17 which covers anesthetics, legend drugs, anatomy, verification of death, and worker safety. Attendees will learn how to perform intravenous, intraperitoneal, and intracardiac injections, as well as humane restraint. The workshop also deals with the unique stress felt by those performing euthanasia. This course includes an optional hands-on training day on October 18.

This workshop completes state requirements for Sodium Pentobarbital Euthanasia Training. Participants will need to arrange for hands-on training after attending the workshop. This requirement must be completed to receive a certificate of completion.

This special workshop is led by Director of Training & Compliance Kim Lanham-Snyder who has more than 39 years of experience performing humane euthanasia.
