Euthanasia-by-Injection: Feb 20th & 21st 2023
Euthanasia by injection is considered the most humane form of ending an animal's life. Marin Humane offers this virtual and/or in-person workshop on February 20 and 21 which covers anesthetics, legend drugs, anatomy, verification of death, and worker safety. Attendees will learn how to perform intravenous, intraperitoneal, and intracardiac injections, as well as humane restraint. The workshop also deals with the unique stress felt by those performing euthanasia.
This workshop completes state requirements for Sodium Pentobarbital Euthanasia Training. Participants who attend the first day's training virtually will need to arrange for hands-on training after attending the workshop. This requirement must be completed to receive a certificate of completion.
This special workshop is led by Director of Training & Compliance Kim Lanham-Snyder who has more than 40 years of experience performing humane euthanasia. For questions, please call 415-506-6205.
