This workshop is for children 10-14 years of age.

Children will learn the basics of digital photography and get tips for photographing animals as they capture "A day in the life of Marin Humane." Instructor Kathie Meier is a long-time Marin resident, volunteer and avid photographer. She'll work with each child as they learn to explore angles and perspectives and shape their photographic vision. 

After the workshop, photos will be uploaded to a private gallery for viewing. Each student will select two photos to be printed and displayed at Marin Humane during the month of May.

Students should bring a fully charged digital camera (please, no cell phone cameras) with a removable memory card that is already empty. Cards will be left with the instructor and returned by mail.

A limited number of cameras will be available to borrow.
